Black Bean Salsa
Salsa for all to enjoy. A mild blend of black beans, tomatoes and light southwest seasonings for a dip with nachos or make a casserole with chicken or beef - Bake - A whole meal. This salsa is the one you will find me eating right from the jar !!! Black bean salsa is the perfect finishing touch for a basket of warm chips---even better when warmed and used as a taco salad dressing and paired with cool fresh greens, a sharp shredded cheese and scoop of sour cream.....OK now I am HUNGRY !!!
Buncha Pepper Jelly
This jelly has a surprisingly sweet taste. I expected a little heat. I usually don't like jelly, but enjoyed the fresh, not to sweet flavor. I like in alone or with peanut butter. If you want to take your next roast to a whole new level, use this jelly as a glaze ! I find pork and chicken to be the perfect marriage with the Buncha Pepper Jelly. I take 1/2 cup of jelly- 1 teaspoon vegetable oil- 1/2 teaspoon soy sauce- brush on roast several times during the cooking time- you will enjoy the sweet, spicy glaze that has a slight hint of salt !
The native Arizona prickly pear cactus fruit (nopalitos) combined with tomatillo and special spices for a refreshing diversion from the expected. Your palette will love this one over eggs, with fish, and even over cream cheese for a quick treat. Be adventuresome. Great addition to pulled pork or chicken on a crisp warm bollo roll !
Love Garlic? This one's yours....tomatoes, jalapeno and seasonings and of course lots of garlic make up a full flavored salsa or pasta sauce. Oooh, what a punch! This salsa offers a great flavor boost to your regular meat loaf recipe. Just mix in 1/2 to 1 cup of salsa to your secret recipe and elevate a standard dish to a "restaurant" quality meal.
